CHANEL : The cape. Hurrah! I do love the cape. There is just something so fashion about it. Something so pointless and hard to accessorize about it. Which of course fills me with the fashion shivers. Chanel are bringing the cape back for next season, so if you didn't get a cheap version of the cape in a high street store in the sales - your a fool. Mind you, I can't talk. I walked away from a cape in Topshop which I had the money in my actual hand for. I have no idea why, I think I was in full on summer mode and couldn't compute the idea of buying for next season. Which is odd for me because being in fashion for so long means that I always work a season ahead.

MIU MIU : With so many collections featuring items from grandparents wardrobes both this season and the next, I am not surprised the trend has filtered down to handbags. This clutch is from Miu Miu and has the cutest beaded clasp. The best way to get this look is to raid charity shops. A lot of old bags from the 50's/60's have this style of clasp. Is it just me, or is there another trend for unusual fabrics on handbags emerging here? Check out the Marc Jacobs below.....

MARC JACOBS : The flannel-ish bag. Not sure if this is like, flannel flannel. As in fleece flannel-iness in handbag form. But the pattern echoes next season's tights pattern - large dots and makes me feel instantly better about wearing a green dress with a navy handbag last weekend - "BUT IT'S NEXT SEASON!"
