I often look at Chloe collections wishing I was the type of girl who could wear their amazing designs. But alas, I am not. I love the idea of simplicity within fashion and clean excellently cut clothing. However I am more Balmain then Chloe. Weirdly enough I am not impressed more horrified by their collection for A/W. Not really sure what they were thinking! Leather lederhosen anyone?
There a few trends popping up here which featured heavily in the previous season and also in other designer collections for A/W. Leather for example, but not in the tailored sense. It seems to be one piece of leather to an outfit and jackets are baggy. They appear as if stolen off the boyfriend!
There are a lot of pop colors which are all over the catwalks for this season, but presented in a different style. At Victoria Beckham, the intense yellows and oranges appeared in dresses and skirts. Here, they pop up in blouses. Think traditional fall colors such as reds, browns, yellows and oranges but presented as brightly as possible.
The 70's style carries on with Chloe for next season. It was one of the key trends for last season. So everything is still flared, high waisted and buttoned.
This is were it all got a bit pear shaped for me. I hate snakeskin prints. I don't mind leopard print or even a bit of zebra, but snakeskin is a step too far. So when Prada displayed a collection heavy on snakeskin, I prayed it would be a one off trend. It wasn't sadly, and now Chloe have leapt onto the trend with dresses and shirts. Shudder...
If you thought that was bad enough : green snakeskin anyone?
